Bilt to World of Hyatt Goes 4:3 on January 1, 2027: What Changes and What Stays 1:1

Bilt's World of Hyatt transfers move from 1:1 to 4:3 on January 1, 2027, reported October 1, 2026. What changes, the dollar math at our Hyatt value, and which cards still transfer to Hyatt at 1:1.

Written October 1, 2026, the day the change was reported. Bilt's own partner page still listed World of Hyatt at 1:1 that evening, and Bilt hadn't posted the change on its newsroom, so the new rate below comes from the announcement as reported. We'll update this when Bilt's page changes. We value a World of Hyatt point at 1.63 cents.

TL;DR

What changes, and when

Where your points come from Through December 31, 2026 From January 1, 2027
Bilt, any card or status 1:1 4:3 (1,000 become 750)
Chase Sapphire Preferred, Ink Business Preferred, Ink Plus, Corporate Flex 4:3 since October 1, 2026 4:3
Chase Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Reserve for Business 1:1 1:1, as far as Chase has announced

The Bilt line comes from Bilt's October 1 announcement as reported that day by several travel news sites, which agree on the date, the new rate and the 1:1 window. Bilt's transfer partners page still showed "World of Hyatt® -1:1" that evening. The Chase lines come from Chase's June 15 announcement, covered in What Starts October 1.

What it means in dollars

1,000 points sent to Hyatt Hyatt points Worth at 1.63 cents
Bilt, through December 31, 2026 1,000 about $16.30
Bilt, from January 1, 2027 750 about $12.20
Chase Sapphire Reserve 1,000 about $16.30
Chase Sapphire Preferred, since October 1 750 about $12.20

On a 30,000-point Hyatt night, that's the difference between moving 30,000 Bilt points and moving 40,000.

Where Bilt points are worth the most, at our values

Hyatt was one of Bilt's most valuable partners at 1:1. At 4:3 it slides down the list. Here's what 1,000 Bilt points are worth at each of Bilt's top partners, at our own point values as of October 1, 2026:

Bilt partner Ratio 1,000 Bilt points are worth
Japan Airlines Mileage Bank 1:1 about $22.00
I Prefer (Preferred Hotels) 1:2 about $19.20
Qatar Airways Privilege Club 1:1 about $16.50
World of Hyatt, through December 31 1:1 about $16.30
Avianca LifeMiles 1:1 about $16.00
Alaska Airlines (Atmos Rewards) 1:1 about $15.50
Virgin Atlantic Flying Club 1:1 about $15.00
World of Hyatt, from January 1 4:3 about $12.20

Those are averages across how each program's points usually get used. A specific booking decides it: a Hyatt night you'd book anyway can still be worth more than any of these numbers, and a poor airline award can be worth much less.

No other major transferable points program sends points to World of Hyatt, so from January the Sapphire Reserve cards are the only 1:1 route left.
