Affiliate Disclosure

How RewardsGuru.club earns money, what affiliate relationships we have, and how we keep editorial content independent of commercial influence.

RewardsGuru.club may earn a commission when you click an apply link on this site and complete a credit card application. This costs you nothing extra — the card issuer pays us a referral fee. We disclose this on every page where commission-bearing links appear.

What relationships we have

This page keeps two lists, deliberately separate. The first is what actually pays us today. The second is what we have applied for or intend to apply for. Presenting a program we have merely approached as though it were live is the exact thing this page exists to prevent.

Live relationships today are travel tools rather than card issuers: an award-search tool where we earn a commission if you subscribe through our link and you get a discount on your first payment, a travel booking platform where we earn miles when someone signs up through our referral link and you get a larger signup bonus than the public offer, and one merchant link inside a single travel article. No credit card application on this site routes through that last one.

Applied for but not live: an affiliate network used by some issuers, where our publisher account was accepted but no card application on this site routes through it and we have earned nothing from it. Nothing that is not live earns us anything, which is the point of listing it separately.

How editorial independence is kept

Card rankings, ratings, and editorial content are never influenced by commission. The ranking inputs contain no compensation data of any kind, so a card that pays us nothing frequently ranks above one that pays us well when the math says it should.

No partner has ever seen an article before it published, and we do not accept payment to recommend a card. Card facts are checked against the issuer's own page, and that rule does not bend for a partner.

What the money is for

Commission revenue pays for running the site: the data verification work, the tools, and the hosting. It is what makes it possible to publish without charging readers or selling their data.

Common questions

Does clicking an affiliate link cost me anything?

No. The price and the offer are the same as going direct. The issuer or partner pays the referral fee.

Do commissions change which cards you recommend?

No. Commission data is not an input to the ranking at any point, and cards that pay us nothing regularly rank at the top.

Why list partners you have not earned from?

So the disclosure describes what is actually true today. Presenting a program we have only applied to as though it were live is the failure this page exists to prevent.
