Rakuten Big Stack October 2026: 10% Back at 250+ Stores, Through Oct 7

Rakuten Big Stack pays 10% cash back or more at 250+ stores from October 5 to 7, 2026. The biggest jumps, the travel stores, and each store's exclusions, checked October 5.

Checked Monday, October 5, 2026, on Rakuten Big Stack page and on each store's own Rakuten page. Rates can change during the event, so the store page is the final word when you click.

Rakuten Big Stack runs from Monday, October 5 to Wednesday, October 7, 2026. Rakuten lists 250+ stores at 10% cash back or more, and its pitch is to "Stack 10% Cash Back on top of early holiday deals": the store's own sale or coupon first, then Rakuten's cash back on what you pay. The event page doesn't publish an end time.

The travel stores in it

Store Big Stack rate Usual rate

"Up to" means only some bookings get the top rate; the store's Rakuten page breaks it down. Two timing rules matter for trips. Expedia's page says cash back "will be added to your Rakuten account within a week after travel has been completed," so a trip next spring pays next spring. Viator's says cash back "will be paid out on completed tours only."

The same travel row shows the Bank of America Travel Rewards card at $250 cash back from Rakuten, up from $100.

The catches, store by store

Every store sets its own exclusions on its Rakuten page. These are the ones that change what you can buy, in each store's words:

What 10% is worth

On a $500 order, 10% is $50 back; at the usual 1% at Dyson or Sam's Club, the same order pays $5.

If your Rakuten account pays out in Amex Membership Rewards, Rakuten converts 1 point per cent, so $50 arrives as 5,000 Membership Rewards points. If it pays out in Bilt Points, Bilt converts 100 points per $1 of cash back at Silver, Gold and Platinum and 50 at Blue, so $50 is 5,000 or 2,500 Bilt Points. The payout method is a Rakuten account setting. Why the Bilt tier matters so much for that conversion is in our Bilt Palladium write-up.

How to make sure it tracks

  1. Log in to Rakuten (or join through our link first) and open the store from Rakuten's site or app. Check that the store page shows the Big Stack rate before you shop.
  2. Finish the order in the same visit. At Expedia, use only coupon codes Rakuten lists for it.
  3. Rakuten labels the event "Online & In Stores." Before you count on cash back at a physical store, read that store's in-store terms on its Rakuten page.

Rakuten's cash back is separate from whatever your card earns on the same purchase; how the two stack is its own guide.
