Lyft launched a new membership on November 5, called Lyft Go, and DoorDash's DashPass now includes it. DashPass members earn 8% back in Lyft Credits on rides, up to $40 a month, at no added cost.
There's one step most people will miss: you have to claim it, even if your Lyft and DoorDash accounts are already linked.
TL;DR
- What's new: DashPass members get Lyft Go included. On its own, Lyft Go with DashPass costs $9.99 a month.
- What it pays: 8% back in Lyft Credits on eligible rides, up to $40 a month, usable on Lyft rides or DoorDash orders.
- The step: link your accounts and claim Lyft Go. DoorDash's terms say "linking alone does not activate the benefit."
- The old perks: DashPass members' existing Lyft discounts are going away soon (the date is below).
What DashPass members get

DoorDash's FAQ says: "All active US DashPass members (including Puerto Rico) can link their Lyft account to their DoorDash account to get free Lyft Go ($9.99/mo value) and earn 8% credits back in Lyft Credits (up to $40/mo), redeemable on either Lyft rides or DoorDash orders. Lyft Credits expire after 60 days or upon cancellation of your paid membership."
The terms add the details:
- The 8% "is calculated on your base fare." It doesn't count taxes, tolls, tips or fees.
- Shared rides, rides booked on a Business profile, and bike and scooter rides in Boston and Washington, D.C. don't earn it.
- If you cancel or pause DashPass, the Lyft Go benefit stops with it.
If your DashPass comes with a credit card, DoorDash's FAQ says "All active US DashPass members." The terms don't name card programs either way, so check doordash.com/lyft after you link.
The old Lyft discounts end November 12
DoorDash: "If you've already linked your account prior to November 5, your existing Lyft x DashPass discounts stay available in the US through November 12, 2026. To get the new benefit, you'll need to link your DoorDash and Lyft accounts here. You'll need to opt in even if your Lyft and DoorDash accounts are already linked."
So if you had the old DashPass Lyft discounts, use them by November 12 and claim Lyft Go now.
If you don't have DashPass
Lyft's announcement lists two tiers. Lyft Go with DashPass is $9.99 a month or $96 a year, with 8% back. Lyft Go Core is $4.99 a month with 5% back in rideshare-only credits and no DashPass. Riders who haven't had Lyft Go, Lyft Pink or DashPass before may see a one-month free trial in the Lyft app, per DoorDash's FAQ.

How to claim
- Go to doordash.com/lyft and sign in.
- Link your Lyft account, even if it's already linked.
- Finish activation, including the confirmation step in the Lyft app.
- Use any old Lyft x DashPass discounts by November 12.
