Read November 6, 2026 in Chase's press release dated November 5, 2026, on Chase's The Edit page, and in the Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Reserve for Business terms on chase.com.
The Edit is Chase Travel's hand-picked collection for its Reserve cardmembers. Until now it has been hotels and resorts. Chase says homes come next. Starting January 1, 2027, more than 10,000 vacation homes join The Edit, and the Edit credit on Chase's Reserve cards can go toward them.
Here's who can use the credit on a home, the two minimum stays, and what changes on the business card.
TL;DR
- What's new: starting January 1, 2027, The Edit adds 10,000+ vacation homes to its 1,500+ hotels and resorts. Plum Guide curates the homes, Chase says.
- Who can use the credit on a home: Sapphire Reserve, Sapphire Reserve for Business and J.P. Morgan Reserve cardmembers.
- Sapphire Reserve for Business: the Edit credit goes from up to $500 a year to up to $1,000 a year on January 1, 2027, still up to $250 a stay.
- The home perks: a $150 in-stay credit for services like a massage, a private chef or an airport pick-up, plus early check-in and late checkout when available.
- Two minimum stays: the home perks need four nights. The credit needs a prepaid stay of at least two nights.
- As of November 6, 2026: Chase's The Edit page describes hotels and resorts only.
What Chase announced

Chase's release says: "Beginning Jan. 1, 2027, The Edit will expand to 10,000+ curated vacation homes alongside 1,500+ luxury hotels and resorts, where Sapphire Reserve, Sapphire Reserve for Business and J.P. Morgan Reserve cardmembers can use their annual credit towards The Edit and receive The Edit benefits."
Are these Airbnbs? Chase's release doesn't mention Airbnb. On the homes, it says: "Vacation homes in The Edit are curated by Plum Guide using 150+ comfort, design, and location criteria."
For a home booked through The Edit, the release lists "a $150 in-stay credit for offering services like massages, private chef, airport pick-up, and more," plus "early check-in and late checkout when available."

As of November 6, 2026, Chase's The Edit page reads: "Unlock premium benefits at our collection of hand-picked hotels and resorts around the world."
The credit, card by card
| Card | The Edit credit, per Chase |
|---|---|
| Sapphire Reserve | "up to $250 for each prepaid booking with The Edit, up to $500 annually" |
| J.P. Morgan Reserve | Same terms as the Sapphire Reserve (Chase's terms name both personal cards): up to $250 per qualifying purchase, up to $500 each calendar year |
| Sapphire Reserve for Business | Now: "up to $500 in automatic statement credits annually for bookings made with The Edit, with a maximum of $250 per transaction." From January 1, 2027: "up to $1,000 in statement credits annually with two additional $250 credits" |

The Sapphire Reserve's product page, which describes The Edit as hotels and resorts today, adds: "Two-night minimum. Purchases that qualify will not earn points." The card's terms narrow the points rule: "Any portion of your purchase that qualifies for the $500 Credit for stays with The Edit will not earn points." They also define a qualifying purchase as when "you or an authorized user of the account use the card for pre-paid 'Pay Now' stays of 2 nights or more." Chase hasn't published card terms written for homes yet.
On the business card, Chase's terms say: "Authorized users of Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business accounts, such as employees, are not eligible for The Edit program benefits."
The two minimum stays

Chase's footnote: "The Edit benefits for vacation homes require a four-night minimum stay. Some benefits are subject to availability and vary by property. The annual credit for stays with The Edit requires a prepaid stay of at least two nights."
The credit needs a prepaid stay of at least two nights. The home perks, including the $150 in-stay credit, need at least four.
What it means for the rest of 2026
The Sapphire Reserve's credit runs by calendar year. Its terms say: "Calendar year means January 1 through December 31 of that same year."
Homes join The Edit on January 1, 2027. Until then, The Edit credit goes to hotels and resorts, and the 2027 credit is the first one a home stay can use. On the Sapphire Reserve for Business, the 2026 credit is up to $500, and Chase's business card page says it doubles to up to $1,000 a year starting January 1, 2027.
The same terms carry a timing note: "Please note that processing delays can cause purchases made during one statement credit period to be allocated to the next period." A booking made in the last days of December can land in the next year's credit.
Points, and the people who help you pick

Chase says the homes come with "the flexibility to use Ultimate Rewards points and the convenience of booking directly through Chase Travel." The release doesn't say whether Points Boost will apply to homes. For how Points Boost priced one of The Edit's hotels on October 19, 2026, here's our Fairmont Empress search: 2.5 cents a point against the full cash price, or 1.55 cents if the $250 Edit credit was still unused.
Sapphire Reserve cardmembers also get "exclusive access to Reserve Travel Designers, who are specially trained to support vacation homes in The Edit, from matching cardmembers with the right home to providing personalized concierge service before, during and after their stay."
Sapphire Preferred, Freedom and Ink cardmembers
The Edit's credit and perks belong to the Reserve cards. Chase's release adds: "Freedom, Chase Ink and Sapphire Preferred cardmembers also have access to book hundreds of thousands of vacation homes through Chase Travel." How the Sapphire Preferred earns on vacation homes is in our breakdown of the Sapphire Preferred's upgrade.
This is educational content, not financial advice. Chase's terms can change before January 1, 2027, so check the current terms on chase.com before you rely on them.
