The World of Hyatt Credit Card has a new welcome offer: 4 free nights at Category 1-4 Hyatt hotels after $5,000 in purchases in the first 3 months. Chase and Hyatt both call it a limited-time offer. Neither page shows an end date.
The offer it replaced needed three times the spending for its full bonus. Here's what changed, the clock on each night, and what the card adds after the first year.
TL;DR
- The offer: 4 Free Night Awards at Category 1-4 Hyatt hotels after $5,000 in purchases in the first 3 months. The annual fee is $95.
- What it replaced: up to 60,000 points, and the full amount needed $15,000 of spending over 6 months.
- The clock: each free night is good for 12 months from the day it's issued, in a standard room.
- After that: a free night every year after your card anniversary, plus another if you spend $15,000 in a calendar year.
The offer, on both pages
Chase's page says: "Earn 4 free nights at any Category 1-4 Hyatt hotel after spending $5,000 within the first 3 months of account opening." A banner above it reads "LIMITED-TIME OFFER."
Hyatt's own credit card page shows the same offer: "Limited-time Offer: Earn 4 free nights."
In Chase's terms, each night is a Free Night Award: "Qualify to earn 4 Free Night Awards when you make $5000 in Purchases within 3 months of account opening."
What changed
The offer we had on file before this one was up to 60,000 points. That was 30,000 points after $3,000 in the first 3 months, plus up to 30,000 more by earning 2 points per $1 on up to $15,000 of purchases in the first 6 months. To get all of it, you had to spend $15,000.
The new offer asks for $5,000. Whether four Category 1-4 nights beat 60,000 points depends on what those hotels cost on your dates. If Category 1-4 hotels are where you'd stay anyway, the new offer needs a third of the spending.

The clock on each night
Chase's terms set the rules:
- "Each Free Night Award is valid for one (1) night in any available standard room within 12 months from issuance at Hyatt hotels and resorts that are designated as Category 1 through 4 under the World of Hyatt program."
- "An authorized user will not receive these Free Night Awards."
- Reservations "must be made in advance via your My Awards page," or by phone.
Twelve months goes fast with four nights to place. Pick the trips before the awards post, not after.
Who can't get it
Chase's terms say: "This product is not available to either (i) current Cardmembers of this credit card, or (ii) previous Cardmembers of this credit card who received a new Cardmember bonus for this credit card within the last 24 months."
What the card adds after the first year
From Chase's and Hyatt's pages:
- One free night at a Category 1-4 Hyatt every year after your cardmember anniversary.
- An extra Category 1-4 free night if you spend $15,000 in a calendar year.
- Discoverist status, 5 tier-qualifying night credits every year, and 2 more every time you spend $5,000 on the card.
- Up to 9 points per $1 at Hyatt: 4 bonus points from the card plus up to 5 base points from Hyatt. It earns 2 points per $1 on dining, airline tickets bought from the airline, local transit and commuting, and gym memberships, and 1 point per $1 on everything else.
So a card opened now can bring 4 free nights from the bonus, another if you spend $15,000 during 2027, and the anniversary night a year from now. That's up to 6 Category 1-4 nights in your first 13 months or so. Our World of Hyatt guide covers the program itself.
How to use it
- Check the 24-month rule in Chase's terms.
- Apply on Chase's page while it shows the 4 free nights. You can compare the card on our World of Hyatt Credit Card page.
- Spend $5,000 on purchases in the first 3 months.
- Pick four Category 1-4 stays you can take within 12 months of the awards posting.
- Book each night from your My Awards page.
