Nine October 2026 transfer bonuses from Rove, Amex, Citi and Capital One, to Japan Airlines, Flying Blue, Qatar, LifeMiles, British Airways, Aeromexico and Hilton, each worked out in dollars per 1,000 points against an ordinary day, with every deadline.
The short version: Four programs are paying nine transfer bonuses in October 2026: Rove, American Express, Citi and Capital One. Priced in dollars per 1,000 points at our values, two clearly beat what the same points get on an ordinary day, and both go to Japan Airlines: Rove to Japan Airlines, about $33 against $22, and Citi to Japan Airlines, about $28.60 against $22. Amex to Flying Blue edges ahead by about a dollar. The other six come in at or under their program's everyday best. Checked October 3, 2026.
A transfer bonus only helps if the points on the other side are worth more than what the same points would get you anyway. So for each bonus below, we compare two numbers. One is what 1,000 points are worth after the bonus. The other is the most those 1,000 points are worth at that program's best partner on an ordinary day, with no bonus at all.
| Transfer | Bonus | 1,000 points become | Ends | Where we saw it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rove to Japan Airlines JAL Mileage Bank | 50% | 1,500 JAL miles | October 31, 11:59 p.m. ET | Rove's announcement |
| Rove to Air France-KLM Flying Blue | 40% | 1,400 Flying Blue miles | October 31, 11:59 p.m. ET | Rove's announcement |
| Rove to Qatar Airways Privilege Club | 15% to 35% | 1,150 to 1,350 Avios | October 31, 11:59 p.m. Qatar time (4:59 p.m. ET) | Rove's announcement |
| Citi to Japan Airlines JAL Mileage Bank | 30% | 1,300 JAL miles on cards that transfer 1:1 | October 24, 11:59 p.m. ET | Citi's partner list |
| Citi to Avianca LifeMiles | 25% | 1,250 LifeMiles on cards that transfer 1:1 | October 24, 11:59 p.m. ET | Citi's partner list |
| Capital One to British Airways Avios | 20% | 1,200 Avios | October 31, 11:59 p.m. ET | Capital One's transfer page |
| Amex to Air France-KLM Flying Blue | 25% | 1,250 Flying Blue miles | Amex lists no end date (live October 2) | Amex's transfer page |
| Amex to Aeromexico Rewards | 20% | 1,920 Aeromexico points | Amex lists no end date (live October 2) | Amex's transfer page |
| Amex to Hilton Honors | 30% | 2,600 Hilton points | October 14 | Amex's transfer page |
Rove's Qatar bonus depends on the size of each transfer: 15% on up to 49,999 Rove Miles, 25% on 50,000 to 99,999, and 35% on 100,000 or more. Rove's announcement says there's no code and no registration. Amex to Aeromexico normally runs 1,000 Amex points to 1,600 Aeromexico points, and Amex to Hilton normally runs 1,000 to 2,000, which is why those bonuses land at 1,920 and 2,600.
Citi's two bonuses depend on the card. Citi's partner list shows Japan Airlines and LifeMiles at 1,000 to 700 for cards without an annual fee, with the bonus on top: 910 JAL miles or 875 LifeMiles per 1,000 points. The 1,300 and 1,250 figures apply to cards that transfer at 1:1.
| Transfer | Worth after the bonus, per 1,000 points | Best everyday transfer from the same program | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rove to Japan Airlines | about $33 | $22 (Japan Airlines, no bonus) | about $11 more |
| Citi to Japan Airlines | about $28.60 | $22 (Japan Airlines, no bonus) | about $6.60 more |
| Amex to Flying Blue | about $17.50 | $16.50 (Qatar Airways or Singapore Airlines, no bonus) | about $1 more |
| Rove to Qatar Airways | about $19 to $22.30 | $22 | about $3 less to 30 cents more |
| Capital One to British Airways | about $16.20 | $16.50 (Qatar Airways or Singapore Airlines, no bonus) | about 30 cents less |
| Citi to LifeMiles | about $20 | $22 | about $2 less |
| Rove to Flying Blue | about $19.60 | $22 | about $2.40 less |
| Amex to Aeromexico | about $15.40 | $16.50 | about $1.10 less |
| Amex to Hilton | about $10.40 | $16.50 | about $6.10 less |
The values behind those numbers are our own, as of October 3, 2026: a Japan Airlines mile at 2.2 cents, a Qatar Airways Avios at 1.65 cents, a LifeMiles mile at 1.6 cents, a Flying Blue mile at 1.4 cents, a British Airways Avios at 1.35 cents, an Aeromexico point at 0.8 cents and a Hilton point at 0.4 cents.
What the math says:
Those are averages. If a specific award is the goal, its price in miles decides it. A Flying Blue promo reward that drops a flight by a few thousand miles, or a Hilton night you'd otherwise pay cash for, can be worth more than any of these numbers.
Three award search tools, checked against each one's own list of supported programs on October 1:
| Program | Roame | point.me | seats.aero |
|---|---|---|---|
| Air France-KLM Flying Blue | yes | yes | yes |
| Qatar Airways Privilege Club | not on its published list | yes | yes |
| Aeromexico Rewards | yes | yes | yes |
| Japan Airlines JAL Mileage Bank | not on its published list | no | no |
How they differ, from each tool's own pages:
None of the three lists Japan Airlines Mileage Bank. For either Japan Airlines bonus, search award seats on Japan Airlines' own website, signed in to your JAL Mileage Bank account. We didn't check the three tools' coverage of LifeMiles or British Airways Avios this month; each airline's own award search shows live space.
Rove Miles come from Rove's shopping portal and its flight and hotel bookings. Our Rove Miles guide covers how they're earned and every partner they transfer to, and Rove's sign-up page is our referral link. Last month's bonuses, with a real seat priced behind each one, are in September's transfer bonuses. Every bonus running now, in dollars per 1,000 points, is on our transfer bonuses page.
We may earn a commission or referral bonus through the Roame, point.me, seats.aero and Rove links on this page, at no cost to you.
