IHG Premier vs Premier Select vs No-Fee IHG Card (2026): Fees, Credits and Value

Chase's three personal IHG cards side by side as of October 2026: fees, launch offers, earn rates, credits and status, and the one habit that decides whether the $350 card comes out ahead.

Checked October 3, 2026, against Chase's application pages for the three personal IHG cards and their offer details. We value an IHG One Rewards point at 0.6 cents, as of October 3, 2026.

Chase now sells three personal IHG cards: the no-fee IHG One Rewards Credit Card, the $150 IHG One Rewards Premier and the new $350 IHG One Rewards Premier Select. The obvious question is whether the most expensive one gives the most back. In year one it doesn't. After that, it depends on one habit.

What each one is worth, in dollars

At our value of 0.6 cents per IHG point:

IHG One Rewards Credit Card ($0) Premier ($150) Premier Select ($350)
Year one: launch offer plus the authorized-user points, minus the fee about $810 about $990 about $910
Each year, using every credit: an IHG stay every quarter, $250+ of airline tickets, Instacart monthly, United TravelBank about $120 about $520 about $680
Each year, one or two IHG stays and some paid United flights about $120 about $450 to $470 about $460 to $530
Each year, one or two IHG stays and no paid flights about $120 about $300 about $200 to $280

The "each year" rows count each credit at face value, minus the annual fee, with the anniversary night at our point value. They leave out the points you'd earn from spending, which depend on where you spend, and the perks that don't repeat every year: the Global Entry credit and the first year of DashPass.

The habit that decides it

How often you stay at IHG.

The Premier Select's biggest credit is its Food & Beverage vouchers: one voucher of up to $75 each calendar quarter, redeemed "for credit against eligible food and beverage on your room bill" at participating IHG hotels. A quarter without a stay is a voucher you don't use.

Add the $200 airline credit, which needs $250 of flights bought directly from an airline, and someone who stays every quarter and flies paid tickets each year comes out about $160 a year ahead with the Premier Select. With one or two stays a year, the two cards land about even. Without the stays and the flights, the extra $200 in annual fee eats the difference, and the Premier stays ahead.

Where each one earns more

The order you apply in matters

Chase's terms for the Premier and the no-fee card exclude anyone holding "any personal IHG One Rewards Credit Card." The Premier Select's terms exclude only its own current cardmembers and anyone who got its bonus in the last 24 months.

So holding a Premier doesn't rule you out of the Premier Select's offer, but holding a Premier Select does rule you out of the Premier's.
