This offer ended on November 1, 2026. The article stays up as a record of what the offer was and how it worked; the numbers below are as they stood while it ran.

Checked Saturday, October 17, 2026, on Singapore Airlines' KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes page. Our value for KrisFlyer miles is 1.65 cents, set July 7, 2026.

The short version: Singapore Airlines' KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes takes 30% off Saver awards on a list of its own flights, ticketed by October 31 for travel in November. From the U.S., that's 30,800 miles each way in economy between Singapore and Los Angeles, San Francisco or Seattle, down from the 44,000 a 30% cut implies. Chase, Amex and Capital One points move to KrisFlyer at 1:1, and so do Citi points from its premium cards. The catch is in the terms: no changes, no cancellations, and every flight on the ticket has to fall in November.

What Singapore is offering

Singapore's page says the sale takes "30% off Saver award rates to selected destinations across the Singapore Airlines network." The dates, in Singapore's terms:

The miles on the list are per person, one way, after the discount. Taxes and fees are extra and aren't discounted.

The U.S. flights in the sale

Route Cabin Miles, one way Before the 30% off November dates at the sale price

Singapore to Los Angeles Economy 30,800 44,000 Nov 3-11, 20-22, 24-25
San Francisco to Singapore Economy 30,800 44,000 Nov 3-5, 23-30

Seattle to Singapore Economy 30,800 44,000 Nov 1-10, 12-13, 15-19, 22-30
Singapore to Seattle Economy 30,800 44,000 Nov 1-26, 30

Frankfurt to New York Premium economy 39,900 57,000 Nov 1-27, 30
New York to Frankfurt Premium economy 39,900 57,000 Every November date

How to read it: Singapore lists blackout dates for each flight, and the last column is the rest of November. A date outside the blackouts still needs a Saver seat to be open. "Before the 30% off" is what the sale price works back to, not a number Singapore prints. The flights are SQ35 and SQ37 from Los Angeles, SQ31 from San Francisco, SQ27 from Seattle, SQ36 and SQ38 back to Los Angeles, SQ32 back to San Francisco, SQ28 back to Seattle, SQ34 for premium economy to San Francisco, and SQ25 and SQ26 between New York and Frankfurt.

What the miles are worth

Each 30,800-mile economy seat is 13,200 miles under the 44,000 the sale works back to. At our KrisFlyer value of 1.65 cents a mile, that's about $218 off each way, and the 30,800 miles themselves are about $508 of value. A round trip in November is 61,600 miles. In premium economy from Singapore to San Francisco, the 55,300 miles are 23,700 under 79,000, about $391 at our value.

Seattle has the most room. The flight to Singapore is at the sale price on 26 of November's 30 days and the flight home on 27, so a round trip inside November is the easiest to line up from there. From Los Angeles the dates are tighter: out on November 4 or 8 and back on November 20, 21, 22, 24 or 25 fits both lists.

To test a booking against cash, divide the cash fare by the miles: a $600 fare for 30,800 miles is about 1.9 cents a mile.

Getting the miles to KrisFlyer

Chase, Amex and Capital One all transfer to KrisFlyer at 1:1. Citi's ratio depends on the card: 1,000 to 1,000 from the Strata Elite, Strata Premier and Prestige, and 1,000 to 700 from the no-annual-fee ThankYou cards. Bank transfers can't be reversed, so the miles stay in KrisFlyer even if the seat you wanted is gone. Check that the flight shows the promo price before you move points.

The fine print that decides it

From Singapore's terms and FAQ:

Beyond the U.S.

The rest of the list starts in Singapore. Economy is 30,800 miles each way between Singapore and London, Paris, Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, Rome, Milan, Copenhagen and Brussels (plus Amsterdam to Singapore), 20,300 from Singapore to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Cairns, and from 5,600 to Kuala Lumpur, Bali, Brunei and Surabaya. Business class is on regional flights only, from 15,400 miles (Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Surabaya) to 50,400 (Cairns). Separately, Singapore's budget airline Scoot has 15% off Economy Saver awards on selected flights, booked on FlyScoot.com. Every bonus we've priced this year, including the bank transfers that feed KrisFlyer, is in our transfer bonus history.
