Under Armour Is at 20% Cash Back on Rakuten Right Now (Usually 2%)

Rakuten is paying 20% cash back at Under Armour, ten times the usual 2% and the biggest elevation across the 220 stores we track. $100 of gear returns $20, or 2,000 Amex Membership Rewards points if your accounts are linked. One-day deal per Rakuten's Big Deal Reveal schedule: July 14 only. The math, the points option, and the order of operations that makes it track.

Rakuten is paying 20% cash back at Under Armour right now. The normal rate is 2%, so this is ten times the usual payout, and it is the single biggest elevation across the 220 stores our tracker watches today. We checked the live store page on July 14, 2026 before publishing this.

Heads up before the math: this is a one-day deal. Rakuten's own announcement lists Under Armour as the July 14 entry in its Big Deal Reveal week (one big deal per day, July 14 to 18), so the 20% is gone after today. If the store page shows 2% again, the window closed. The rest of the week's schedule is in our Black Friday in July roundup, including Skechers at 25% on Saturday.

The math in one table

You spend Cash back option Amex points option
$50 $10 1,000 points
$100 $20 2,000 points
$250 $50 5,000 points

The cash option is simple: 20% back on what you spend. The points option is the one most people do not know about.

The Amex points option

If your Rakuten account is linked to American Express Membership Rewards, Rakuten pays your cash back as points instead: 1 point per dollar per 1% of cash back. At 20%, that is 20 points per dollar, so $100 of gear earns 2,000 Membership Rewards points.

Why take points over $20 cash? Because points move to airlines. At the roughly 1.6 cents per point our tracker uses for solid airline transfers, 2,000 points are worth about $32 of award travel, and transfer bonuses push that further. Seven transfer bonuses were live this month alone, ranked in our July roundup.

Bilt members can route the payout to Bilt points too, though that option requires Silver status or higher in Bilt's program.

The order of operations (this is where people lose the money)

Cash back only tracks if Rakuten sees your trip start on their side. The sequence:

  1. Open Rakuten (site or app) and search for Under Armour.
  2. Tap "Shop Now" so Rakuten redirects you to underarmour.com.
  3. Shop and check out in that same session, without hopping to other coupon tabs.

Your credit card still earns its normal rate on top of all this, so a 2% card makes the total 22% back. Portal cash back and card rewards stack; they always have.

Should you care if you were not buying anyway?

No. This is a discount on spending you already planned, not a reason to spend. 20% back on gear you did not need is still 80% out the door. If nothing in your cart was already there, skip it and wait for the next elevation. They come around.

Does the 20% apply to everything at Under Armour?

Store exclusions can apply to gift cards and certain promos, and Rakuten lists any terms on the store page itself. Check the fine print on the Under Armour page inside Rakuten before assuming a specific item qualifies.

What if the rate drops while my order is pending?

The rate that applies is the one that was live when you clicked through. If you activated and shopped while it showed 20%, that is your rate, even if the store page drops back to 2% an hour later.
