Macy's is 13% cash back on Rakuten for one day on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. What $100 pays, how Bilt converts it to 1,300 points, the exclusions, and the click-through rule.
Rakuten's Wednesday drop for Wednesday, September 16, 2026 is Macy's at 13% cash back, live on the store page as of this morning. The everyday rate on the same store showed 2% before the drop, so this is about 6.5 times the normal payout. Rakuten's own description of the Big Deal Reveal series: "Each offer is available for one day only."
The store on Rakuten is at https://www.rakuten.com/macys.com. The page shows "13% Cash Back" with the prior rate marked "was 2%". Rakuten publishes no start or end time and no timezone for the drop, only "one day only," so the store page is the only source of truth: if it shows 13% when you click through, you are in the window.
The exclusions, verbatim from the store page: "Gift cards, furniture and mattresses, electronics, select brands such as Apple, Birkenstock and Pandora" Posting time, also verbatim: "Cash Back will be automatically added to your Rakuten account today."

The Bilt column is the part most people miss, and the unit matters. Bilt's help page: "Blue members: 50 points per $1 in Rakuten cash-back" and "Silver, Gold, and Platinum members: 100 points per $1 in cash-back." That is per dollar of cash back, not per dollar spent. A $100 order earns $13.00 of cash back, and at Silver, Gold or Platinum that becomes 1,300 Bilt Points.
Whatever card you pay with keeps earning on top. Check Amex Offers, Chase Offers and Citi Merchant Offers for a Macy's entry first, since those are card-side and stack; if there is none, a flat 2% card such as the Citi Double Cash or the Wells Fargo Active Cash adds a clean layer. Not this month. Bilt and Rakuten both state the schedule: "Your confirmed Cash Back will be sent as Bilt Points every three months, according to the Rakuten payment schedule," on February 15, May 15, August 15 and November 15. You need "minimum confirmed earnings of $5.01 before the next payment date," and cash back "typically takes 3 to 14 weeks to be confirmed."
One line in Bilt's terms decides your rate: "your conversion rate depends on your Elite Status at the time of your payout date." Status at purchase is irrelevant. Aim your status at the payout date, not at the checkout.
Tripping an exclusion. Read the exclusions line above once before you shop; it is short and it is the whole list.
Not clicking through first. Rakuten only tracks a purchase that starts from its site, extension or app. Open Rakuten, confirm the store page shows 13%, click Shop Now, then shop. A cart you opened earlier on the merchant's own site will not track; close it and start again from Rakuten.

These are ordinary elevated rates, not the one-day drop. They carry no "one day only" clause, so they can move or end at any time without notice, and the store page stays the only source of truth. Both were read the same afternoon as the rate above.

Skechers publishes a limit worth reading before you fill a cart, in its own words: "Cash Back is not available on orders greater than $500, orders with 5+ items, orders that do not originate in the U.S." Brooks excludes "the purchase of gift cards, runDisney® releases" among others. The same click-through rule applies to both: start at Rakuten or nothing tracks.
The Bilt conversion is identical, because it runs on the cash back rather than the store. A $100 Skechers order pays $6.00, which is 600 Bilt Points at Silver, Gold or Platinum and 300 at Blue. A $100 Brooks order pays $4.00, which is 400 and 200.
One store we checked and are not listing: Coveron, which was the 9/9 Big Deal at 100%. Its Rakuten page no longer resolves, so we have no live rate to quote and will not quote an old one.
