Read October 27, 2026 on American Express Travel's Corinthia Rome page, as a Platinum Card Member sees it, on Corinthia's own Rome page, and in the Platinum Card's benefit terms. Facts are as of October 27, 2026.
Corinthia Rome has joined Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts, and its Amex page carries an offer: a complimentary third night, for stays booked by March 24, 2027.
The timing matters. From January 1, 2027, a Fine Hotels + Resorts booking needs two nights to count toward the Platinum Card's hotel credit. A three-night stay with the third night free clears that rule on two paid nights.
TL;DR
Amex Travel's page, as a Platinum Card Member sees it, lists these Fine Hotels + Resorts benefits:
Above them is the special offer: "Complimentary third night. Book by 03/24/2027 for travel by 03/27/2027." Amex marks the offer with a footnote, so the rates and dates it covers are in the terms on that page.
The page also lists the hotel as family-friendly, with complimentary breakfast for children and connecting rooms for four or more people.
The Platinum Card's terms, from our article on the two-night rule: the $600 Lodging Credit pays "up to $300 in statement credits semi-annually (January to June, and July to December)" on prepaid bookings through Amex Travel, and "Effective January 1, 2027, Fine Hotels + Resorts® bookings will require a minimum two-night stay to be eligible for the $600 Lodging Credit."
What a three-night stay at Corinthia Rome comes with, from Amex's page and those terms:
| On a three-night stay | What Amex lists |
|---|---|
| Nights paid | 2, with the third complimentary under the offer |
| Breakfast for two | Daily |
| Property credit | $100 toward eligible on-property charges |
| Check-out | Guaranteed 4pm |
| Lodging Credit | Up to $300 for the half-year, on a prepaid booking that meets the two-night rule |
The $300 is per half-year, so a prepaid booking made between January and June draws on that half's $300. Our article on Amex's free third night covers putting the free night and the credit on the same prepaid booking.
Corinthia describes the building as "long associated as a stronghold of the Bank of Italy." Amex's page points out the Theodoli Heritage Suite, the bank's former council chamber, which still has its original frescoes and a ceiling mural on the history of Italian currency.
The spa sits in the old bank vault, with two bathing pools, a sauna and a steam room. Viride is the main restaurant, Piazzetta is the all-day dining room around an open kitchen, and Ocra is the bar. The Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps are a short walk away, according to Amex's page.
