Yes, the Amex Platinum opens Centurion Lounges, Delta Sky Clubs and Priority Pass lounges; no, it does not open United Clubs. Amex's card page: "Yes, the Platinum Card® offers Card Members access to the Global Lounge Collection." United Club is not on Amex's partner list.
Centurion Lounge. "U.S. Platinum Card Members have unlimited complimentary access to all locations of The Centurion Lounge." Guests cost money until you cross a spend line: Card Members "will be charged a $50 fee for each guest (or $30 for children aged 2 through 17, with proof of age) per location unless they have qualified for Complimentary Guest Access." That free tier covers "up to two (2) guests per visit" and unlocks "after spending $75,000 or more on eligible purchases on the Platinum Account in a calendar year."
Delta Sky Club. Delta flights only, 10 times a year: "Eligible Platinum Card Members will receive 10 "Visits" per Eligible Platinum Card each year to Delta Sky Club or to the Delta Sky Club Grab and Go feature." Spend $75,000 in a calendar year and the cap lifts. Basic Economy is out: "Eligible Platinum Card Members traveling with Delta Main Basic (Basic Economy) fare tickets do not have access to this benefit." Guests pay every time: you "may bring either up to two (2) guests, or their immediate family (spouse/domestic partner and children under 21) to the Club at a per-Visit rate of $50 per person".
Priority Pass. Yes, but Card Members "must enroll in the Priority Pass™ program through the benefits section of their americanexpress.com account" first. Guests: "Platinum Card Members receive complimentary access for up to two accompanying guests."
Additional Cards. $195 each, same doors: "Basic and Additional Platinum Card® Members on the Card Account are eligible for this benefit. Companion Platinum Card® Members are not eligible for this benefit with their Card." Lufthansa lounge access ends after September 30, 2026.
No, the Amex Gold does not open Centurion Lounges, Priority Pass lounges or any other lounge. The card page says so: "The American Express® Gold Card does not currently have lounge access benefits." The Gold is built around food: 4X points at restaurants worldwide (up to $50,000 a year) and U.S. supermarkets (up to $25,000), plus $424 a year in dining, Uber, Resy and Dunkin' credits with enrollment. Yes, the Sapphire Reserve opens Chase Sapphire Lounges, 1,300+ Priority Pass lounges and select Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges. No, it does not open Delta Sky Clubs or United Clubs; neither is on Chase's list.
Sapphire Lounges. Chase lists 8 open locations and Los Angeles "Coming soon". The entry rule covers authorized users: "Chase Sapphire Reserve cardmembers and authorized users enjoy complimentary access to any Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club location with their physical Sapphire Reserve card, Chase-issued Priority Pass™ Select membership and eligible boarding pass within three hours of departure."
Guests. "Chase Sapphire Reserve, J.P. Morgan Reserve Card and The Ritz-Carlton™ Credit Card cardmembers may enter with up to two guests for no charge; any additional guests will cost $27." Priority Pass lounges match: "with up to two guests free of charge."
Air Canada. This works on any Star Alliance flight, with a smaller guest allowance: "Eligible cardmembers and authorized users may bring one guest at no charge, and additional guests for 59 USD/CAD/GBP/EUR each."

No, the Sapphire Preferred does not open airport lounges. Chase's lounge FAQ: "Complimentary lounge access is not a benefit for Chase Sapphire Preferred." The Preferred page lists trip insurance, no foreign transaction fees and 14 transfer partners, and no lounge line. Yes, the Venture X opens Capital One Lounges, Landings and Priority Pass lounges for the primary cardholder. No, an authorized user gets neither unless you pay. Capital One's lounge terms, last updated July 8, 2026: "Additional cardholders, including account managers and authorized users, do not have complimentary lounge access. Primary cardholders and account managers can purchase airport lounge access for additional cardholders for an annual lounge access fee of $125 per additional cardholder."
Guests at Capital One Lounges. "Venture X cardholders can purchase passes for guests to Capital One Lounges and Landings at discounted rates of $45 per visit per guest 18 and older, and $25 per visit per guest 17 and under. Children under two are free." After $75,000 in a year: "Primary cardholders that spend at least $75,000 total on purchases across their Venture X account per calendar year can bring up to 2 complimentary guests to Capital One Lounges and 1 complimentary guest to Capital One Landings per visit."
