This offer ended on October 23, 2026. The article stays up as a record of what the offer was and how it worked; the numbers below are as they stood while it ran.
Every term below was read on Monday, October 12, 2026, on American Airlines' corporate status match page for its corporate partners. The tier charts for United, JetBlue and Southwest come from the page's request form, which shows each program's chart when you pick it.
The short version: American Airlines is inviting travelers at its corporate partners to match their elite status from Delta, United, JetBlue or Southwest, and it lands them one tier higher than American's standard status match, up to AAdvantage Executive Platinum. The matched status runs four months. Earn one of four Loyalty Point goals inside those four months and you keep that status through March 31, 2028. Citi / AAdvantage primary cardmembers who match finish one tier higher than the status they earn. Requests are due by October 23, 2026, and American asks for 2 to 4 weeks to process them.
A status match usually reads as a trial: a few months of someone else's perks, then you're back where you started. American's corporate version changes two things.
First, the starting point. American's charts put its standard match and this one side by side. For every program, the lower tiers move up a full tier, and at the top of each chart this one adds four Flagship lounge passes to the same Executive Platinum. A Delta Platinum Medallion, United Premier Platinum or JetBlue Mosaic 3 who would get Platinum Pro from the standard match gets Executive Platinum here, plus four Flagship lounge passes.
Second, the finish line. American runs this as one four-month period, and the status you keep is set by the Loyalty Points you earn in it, from 10,000 at the low end. Hit a goal and the status lasts through March 31, 2028, which American calls "the end of the next AAdvantage membership year."
American's charts, for each program it accepts:
| Your status today | American's standard match | This corporate match |
|---|---|---|
| Delta Silver Medallion, United Premier Silver, JetBlue Mosaic 1, Southwest A-List | Gold | Platinum |
| Delta Gold Medallion, United Premier Gold, JetBlue Mosaic 2, Southwest A-List Preferred | Platinum | Platinum Pro |
| Delta Platinum Medallion, United Premier Platinum, JetBlue Mosaic 3 | Platinum Pro | Executive Platinum + 4 Flagship lounge Single Visit Passes |
| Delta Diamond Medallion, Delta 360, United Premier 1K, United Global Services, JetBlue Mosaic 4 | Executive Platinum | Executive Platinum + 4 Flagship lounge Single Visit Passes |
I'm already Delta Diamond, United 1K or JetBlue Mosaic 4. Does this give me more than the standard match? The status is the same, Executive Platinum. What changes is the four Flagship lounge Single Visit Passes, which the standard column doesn't list. The passes come with their own Flagship lounge terms, linked from the form.
I'm Southwest A-List Preferred. Is Executive Platinum out of reach? Southwest's chart stops at A-List Preferred, which matches to Platinum Pro. American's Loyalty Point goal table, below, doesn't depend on the tier you were matched to: it lists 100,000 Loyalty Points for Executive Platinum, or 50,000 for a Citi / AAdvantage primary cardmember, and the page says "the more Loyalty Points you earn over the four-month period, the higher your status can be."
Four months. Step 3 on the page: "Enjoy your matched status for 4 months, with the opportunity to earn an even higher status by meeting the promotion goals."
By earning Loyalty Points, the currency American uses for status, inside the four-month period. "The more Loyalty Points you earn over the four-month period, the higher your status can be." American's goal table:
| Loyalty Points earned in the 4 months | Status you keep through Mar. 31, 2028 | With a Citi / AAdvantage credit card |
|---|---|---|
| 10,000 | Gold | Platinum |
| 25,000 | Platinum | Platinum Pro |
| 50,000 | Platinum Pro | Executive Platinum |
| 100,000 | Executive Platinum | Executive Platinum |
The page's wording: "If you meet one of the Loyalty Point goals within the four-month period, you'll keep the corresponding status and benefits through Mar. 31, 2028, which is the end of the next AAdvantage membership year."
Two cases from the tables:
The goal table doesn't depend on the tier you were matched to. Read as written, someone matched to Platinum who earns 100,000 Loyalty Points lands on the Executive Platinum row.
Primary cardmembers. The page: "Citi / AAdvantage primary credit cardmembers who matched their status from another airline will receive one tier higher than the status they earned, up to AAdvantage Executive Platinum status, through Mar. 31, 2028." The page doesn't name particular Citi / AAdvantage cards; it says primary cardmember.
Submitting means agreeing to American's elevated status match terms, its 1-Phase Instant Status Pass terms, the Flagship lounge terms and the AAdvantage credit card terms, all linked under the form.
For the other direction, United ran a status match for Delta and American elites that closed on October 15; how its spend-and-fly challenge worked is in our United status match article.
