The biggest public welcome offer Chase has run on the Sapphire Preferred died on Thursday afternoon. It took about five hours from warning to gone, and we happened to be scraping the page at both ends of it. Here is the full timeline, what the offer looks like now, and the one route that still showed 100,000 points when we checked on Friday morning.

No end date was ever published. The label appeared, and roughly five hours later the offer was 25,000 points smaller. If you applied Thursday morning, you caught the top.

Chase's fine print notes the bonus posts to your account 6 to 8 weeks after you qualify, and that balance transfers, cash advances, and cash-like transactions do not count as purchases toward the $5,000.
Chase runs a separate offer surface for referrals, where an existing cardmember shares a personal link and earns points if the application goes through. Referral landing pages do not always match the public page, and right now they don't: when we checked at 5:15 PM Thursday, and again at 8:20 AM Friday, the Sapphire Preferred referral page still showed 100,000 bonus points after $5,000 in purchases in 3 months, with Chase's own "LIMITED-TIME OFFER" label on it.
Two honest caveats before you get excited:
