Citizens' Summit family is a recent lineup with a clear ladder. The Citizens Summit World Mastercard pays 3% cash back on dining and groceries and 1.5% on everything else with no annual fee. The Summit Reserve World Elite Mastercard, $295 a year, pays 3% on dining, groceries and entertainment, 1.5% on the rest, and adds the travel and lifestyle credits listed on its card page. Alongside them sit three no-rewards cards: Clear Value, built around a low ongoing APR, the Spring Mastercard for building credit, and the Amp Mastercard.
Citizens cards pay cash back rather than points, so there is nothing to value or transfer; what you earn is what you get as a statement credit. As of the date on each card page, Citizens publishes no welcome bonus on the Summit cards, which is unusual for a $295 card and worth knowing before you compare it with cards that lead with a bonus.
Citizens is a regional bank in the Northeast and Midwest, and its cards are easiest to get as an existing customer. The card pages below quote Citizens' own rates, fees and credits, each with the date we read them.
