Synchrony is the bank behind store and partner cards rather than a rewards brand of its own. Every card on this page is tied to a retailer or a payment platform: the Amazon Store Card, the MyLowe's Rewards card, the Sam's Club Mastercard, the Verizon Visa, the Venmo Visa, the PayPal Cashback Mastercard, CareCredit for health and veterinary bills, and the Synchrony Premier World Mastercard, which is the one general 2% card in the group.
Because the rewards are set by the partner, the earn rates look different from a bank card. The Amazon Store Card and the MyLowe's card pay 5% at their own store and little or nothing elsewhere. The Sam's Club Mastercard pays 5% on gas and 3% on dining and Sam's Club purchases. The Verizon Visa pays 4% on gas, groceries and dining, with rewards that apply to your Verizon bill.
